About Me

Strength – Balance – Spirit

My name is Bob Stevenson.

I am a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) which acknowledges the completion of yoga teacher training at Gilbert Yoga (a Registered Yoga School (RYS)) in Gilbert, AZ as well as having taught over 2,100 yoga classes.  Recently, I gained the designation of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.

I have been practicing yoga since 2009 (15 years), starting in Central Illinois, then in Phoenix, and moved to the Pittsburgh area in October of 2020.  In January 2024, I moved to Erie, Pa.   I began practicing  because I couldn’t sleep on my left hip!  My practice has grown since then.

I played sports my whole life (basketball, baseball, volleyball, distance running, and weight lifting) and am very familiar with the physical hurdles athletes can face (particularly later in life).

I am a semi-retired Information Technology director at a Fortune 50 company so I am very acquainted with the pressures associated with those types of jobs and the particularly positive impact yoga can have on people in those jobs.

As a parent of 5 children, I can personally testify to the positive impact yoga has on people in the “parenting years”.

I believe yoga provides a vehicle to effect change on all levels of a human being… physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual… but also realize that everyone is “starting at a different spot” and may have different needs.
